Week Events!
September 22nd-27th
This year we are asking each fresher £20 towards fresher’s week. With this you get your membership to the society (£6) and a funky Music fresher’s T-shirt. Any extra money raised goes straight into the ball fund which promises to be a fantastic event this year! Please bring along £20 cash or a cheque made payable to Cardiff University Music Society on Monday 22nd September. Please feel welcome in bringing your flat mates and friends along to any of our events. Remember we are a University Society too!
Monday 22nd September 2008
11.30am at department - Meet and Greet in Large Lecture Theatre.
We will also be meeting you at your university accommodation and student Union at 11.00

1.30pm Scavenger hunt in teams of 10 around the city!!!!
9.30pm Meet at department at 9.15 - Lloyds bar
(Monday the 22nd of Sept all day is also the medic fresher’s fair held at the med club)
Tuesday 23rd September 2008
1.30pm (meet at department) - Trip to Cardiff Bay
7.30pm (meet at department 7.15pm) - Dancing night (salsa) at club Riza
Wednesday 24th September 2008
Day – Enrolment department (very important you go to this!)
8.00pm Café Jazz (meet at department at 7.30) - Jazz Café and later club Basement for those hard core drum and basers who love to party till 4am.
Thursday 25th September 2008
1.00pm Department concert hall - Music Society Lunch Time Concert – come and see us all perform!
2.00pm meet at department - Trip to Cardiff Castle
7pm Theatre night to watch the musical ‘An Ideal Husband’ at the New Theatre followed by chilled drinks at buffalo bar (if you want tickets to this show tickets are £8.50 please send a cheque made payable to Miss Annie Sheen ASAP to 13 Crwys Place, Cathays, Cardiff, CF24 4NS)

9pm at Taf student bar in Union - Pub and Club night
Friday 26th September 2008
2.00pm department - Introduction talk by head of department Dr Wyn Jones. (We thoroughly advise you to go to this.)
7.30pm meet at Taf bar in Union – Music Idols theme pub crawl ending in Solus night club.
Saturday 27th September 2008
11.30-2 Jamming session and Name games (we hope it will be pandemonium!!!) in Concert hall. Bring your instruments!
2-4pm - Picnic and field games in Bute Park weather permitting. Bring some nibbles!
